More of us are actively addressing our mental health. It has become a major topic of conversation in the media, in the political sphere and our communities. But according to the U.S. Health and Human Services Office of Minority Health, African Americans still lag behind when it comes to having our mental health problems addressed. In 2018, 8.6% of white Americans received mental health services, compared to less than 9% of African Americans.
