In 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives declared July National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, also known as BIPOC Mental Health Month.
Recently, the importance of taking care of our mental health, especially Black people, has moved front-cand-center. For centuries, our mental health needs have been neglected by others and ourselves, considered a weakness or taboo.
