Half moon pose in yoga is good for those who are looking to improve their balance and build strength in the lower body, core and ankles. Half moon also stretches the spine upper body and legs.

How to Do Half Moon 

  • Stand in Mountain pose, creating a strong foundation in the feet. Inhale and on your exhale, slowly begin to lift the left leg parallel to the floor. Be mindful to keep the hips stacked on top of each other and facing forward. Reach the right fingertips to the ground and the left fingertips to the sky. 
  • Hold the pose for 3-5 breaths. Repeat on the other side.
