If you’re new to yoga, then a great mat is all you need to start. But as you get further into your practice, you may find that you need a little more. Check out our list of essentials to invest in to grow your yoga routine and more.
Blocks: Can’t quite reach the floor in your triangle pose? Need some support in your reclined bound angle pose? Invest in a couple of yoga blocks. These small, rectangle-shaped blocks are good supports to have around.
Straps: These are good to have to extend your reach and provide leverage when performing poses that stretch beyond your comfort zone.
Anti-slip socks: Invest in a pair or two of anti-slip yoga socks to avoid sliding on a mat that can get wet or oily.
Mat freshener: It’s good to clean your mat between sessions. There are several yoga mat cleaners on the market, but you can also make your own mix with water and a few drops of cleansing essential oils like lavender, eucalyptus or tea tree oil.
Mat bag: Good when you’re doing yoga out in nature or anywhere on-the-go.
