Nothing feels like a “self-care Sunday” of pampering. Through her New York-based company, Domingo, CEO and founder Netta Selene is on a mission to take the one-day weekly routine to the next level of feel-good.
Like many businesses, Domingo was born out of personal experience. Selene, who battled eczema sparked by the stress of a divorce, spent hours testing homemade formulas to heal her skin.
“My skin’s response reflected the turbulence I was experiencing. I would spend my Sunday mornings making body scrubs and body butters to combat this and found that making time for self-care helped my skin to clear up and lifted my mood as I engaged in something soothing for myself,” the L.A. native states on her website.
Now in its sixth year, Domingo, Spanish for “Sunday,” offers customers seeking an escape from the everyday a variety of plant-based handcrafted body scrubs. Infused with natural ingredients, Domingo scrubs buff away dull skin, moisturize and reduce the signs of aging with dead sea salt, sugar, aloe, oatmeal and more. And this past October, the product line grew to include four core scrubs —Baya, Coastal, Cashmere, and Wildrose.
2024 is set to see even more growth for Domingo, with plans to introduce body butters, foaming shower oils, and dry oil body sprays.
