What is oatstraw?
A. sativa, or oat, is a grass with stems and long blade-like leaves. Its flowers mature into the oat that is edible. The whole plant is referred to as “oatstraw.”
The Benefits of Oatstraw
Oatstraw is a great restorative herb for stress and burn out. This light green straw has a very smooth taste and is full of vitamins and minerals. It is also good to ease insomnia, is a good source of calcium and helps improve circulatory and nervous system functioning. Make a tea with oatstraw along with red clover, nettles, linden flowers and comfrey for overall wellness.
