The Benefits of Soursop
Soursop, also known as graviola, guanabana and Brazillian paw paw, is a tropical fruit most commonly found and eaten in South America, the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, and parts of Africa. This prickly fruit has a moist flesh with the flavors of pineapple, banana and papaya.
Benefits of Soursop
- Used to treat stomach illnesses, parasites, high blood pressure and joint inflammation.
- Excellent source of fiber to help ease constipation and level blood sugar
- Great for immune support with its high vitamin C content
Although there has been much discussion about soursop’s ability to fight certain cancer cells, more research is still needed. Early lab studies found that soursop can kill cancer cells, but studies have not been conducted within humans.
As with anything, eat soursop in moderation. Too much can cause nerve damage. Do NOT eat the seeds, as they are toxic.

3 months agoWhere do you buy this fruit? Can it be used as a protein drink? I live in Dallas, Georgia now. I just moved here from Canton, Michigan.
