These days, it’s easy to find a place that makes and sells freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juices. From the local gourmet store to the juice bar in the health food store, bottles of liquid nutrition are in high demand. And rightly so.

Freshly squeezed juice is full of vitamins and minerals and are easy to make right at home with a good juicer.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind before making your own juices:

Tips before juicing:

  • Start with cold fruits and veggies that have been stored in the refrigerator.
  • Rinse all ingredients before juicing them. Chop large ones into pieces small enough to feed easily into your juicer.
  • Choose organic, pesticide-free fruits and veggies, if possible.
  • Juicers can range in price from $50 to $500. The expensive ones are good and last longer, but some of the cheaper ones get the job done. It all depends on how much you want to spend and how dedicated you are to juicing.
