Revolved head-to-knee pose is an excellent stretch for the torso and legs. It also opens the chest muscles and releases tension in the neck.

How to do Revolved Head-to-Knee pose

  • Come to a seated position on your mat. Spread the legs wide. Bend the left leg in, bringing the heel to the inside of the right thigh.
  • Inhale and on your next exhale, lift your torso up then over to your right thigh. Reach the left hand over your head, as far to your right toes as possible. Gaze up toward the sky. Rest the right hand on the ground or on your thigh. Breathe.
  • Hold the pose for 3-5 breaths then repeat on the other side.
