In 2008, the U.S. House of Representatives declared July National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month, also known as BIPOC Mental Health Month.

Recently, the importance of taking care of our mental health, especially Black people, has moved front-cand-center. For centuries, our mental health needs have been neglected by others and ourselves, considered a weakness or taboo. As more Black people grow more open to talking about mental health and actively seeking help, here is a compilation of tools and resources you may find helpful in your journey.
