Remember when having an active imagination was frowned upon? Today, we realize just how important imagination is to the world around us. From the invention of the automobile to the creation of life-saving surgical techniques, all that we see around us started in the minds of someone who imagined something new. Just as important are the things we imagine on a smaller scale, within ourselves, that could just spark a moment of clarity, calm or good vibes.

Grab a pen and paper (it’s better to write it down :)), and follow these journal prompts to spark your imagination, and maybe something more.

  1. If you could pick up and leave on vacation today, where would you be off to?
  2. You discover you can breathe underwater. What do you do with this ability?
  3. What random fact do you find absolutely fascinating?
  4. You have been given $100 on the condition that you must spend it all on yourself. What will you do with your money?
  5. Where would you be pleased to find yourself locked up overnight?
