Let’s Talk Constipation & What to Do (And Not Do) to Avoid It
If you’re not eliminating at least once per day regularly, then you suffer from constipation. Difficult, long bowel movements can also be a sign that you’re constipated.
Follow this daily plan to keep your digestion flowing easy and regularly.
Limit:
- Dairy
- Meats
- Saturated fats
- Sugar and sweets
- Caffeinated tea and coffee
Eat more:
- Fresh fruits
- Green vegetables
- Whole grains
- Fiber-rich foods
- Practice food combining
Also:
- Drink plenty of water
- Get adequate rest
- Exercise daily
- Eat slowly and mindfully
More:
- Eat or drink 1 tbsp. of aloe vera twice a day
- 2 tablets or 2 teaspoons of spirulina per day
- 1 tsp. Flaxseed oil daily
- 1 tsp. Psyllium husks daily
- Take the herbs cascara sagrada or senna for short-term relief
- Drink nettle or slippery elm tea to awaken the bowels
